Honestly, I was just walking around the house in the nude, and I slipped and fell over, and landed on this ring.
Sketch

Firefighters helped remove a metal ring from a man's penis after hospital staff feared it could cut off the blood supply and lead to amputation.

The operation, carried out at the Royal Wigan Infirmary, involved wrapping a thin sheet of metal round the penis to protect it, while the fire crew used a hand-held grinder to cut the ring.

There's no word on how the ring got onto the penis in the first place.
