Failing the minimum eyesight requirements
Sketch

A man has been convicted of dangerous driving after police spotted his car on the wrong side of the road.

The fact that he is completely blind may have contributed to his poor driving.

(Does anyone else think he's going for a Terminator look in the BBC picture?)

It's Goat Week at BBC News
Sketch

A Sudanese man has been forced to marry a goat after having being caught having sex with it.

In other goat-related nonsense, a Swiss man caught speeding in Canada blamed his excessive speed on the lack of goats slowing him down.

Trademark fights
Sketch

A tuk-tuk taxi operating in Brighton, painted with a Burberry-style pattern, has been taken off the road for repainting following a complaint from Burberry. The "Chavrolet" is one of 12 tuk-tuks painted in various designs, including a strawberry, a Union Jack, a Swiss cheese and a cow.

Nike, on the other hand, has found itself at the wrong end of a trademark complaint after using Hackney Council's logo on some of its products. The Council has won a £300,000 out-of-court settlement from Nike.

(If I said I'd drawn everything behind the large black blocks, and then censored it, would you believe me?)

Pssst! Wanna buy a heart? Kidney?
Sketch

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has warned that NHS transplant patients may have received stolen body parts.

New York gangs have apparently been taking body parts and faking death certificates to make it appear that the "donors" were younger and healthier than they actually were at their time of death.

77 body parts exported to the UK by US firm Biomedical Tissue Services could potentially be part of the over 1,000 believed stolen. The FDA has ordered Biomedical Tissue Services to cease operations.

Conservatives scribble new logo
Sketch

The Conservative Party has revealed its new logo, a scribbled oak tree, variously described as looking like "a bunch of broccoli", "like a three-year-old had been let loose with a crayon", and resembling "the coin scratch on a lottery card".

The Conservatives paid £40,000 for the new logo, though one party activist reported that his daughter's reaction was to task whether David Cameron had given his baby a pen.

"Not guilty?" That's just a loophole.
Sketch

John Reid wants to "rebalance criminal justice in favour of victims" by preventing people exploiting legal "loopholes" (such as failure by police to follow correct procedure) to avoid conviction for offenses.

How big a wheel does a hamster need to go 300mph?

Sketch

An appeal to raise cash for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which ferried Richard Hammond to hospital after his jet car crash, is nearing £200,000 (including reclaimed Gift Aid).

BBC News: 'Very good progress' for Hammond

With apologies to the fine folk at the North West Air Ambulance
